Wall Street English Opens Center in Ho Chi Minh City

Baltimore, MD May 27, 2013 - Wall Street English, the world’s leading global brand in English language education, has opened its first learning center in Vietnam. The center is located in Ho Chi Minh City.

With a population of over 8 million people, Ho Chi Minh City is the center of commerce and business in southern Vietnam. The country is experiencing economic growth, and with that comes the need for skilled workers. With English being the global language of trade, business, and diplomacy, Wall Street English is bringing its proven method of English language training to the people of Vietnam.

The new Wall Street English center is located in District 3 in Ho Chi Minh City, which is close to key business areas and shopping districts, making the center easily accessible for people wanting to learn English. The center spans three floors and has a capacity for over 1,000 students.

The center is designed with an open floor plan to encourage interaction and collaborative learning between staff and students. Only English is spoken in Wall Street English centers, so students experience an immersion experience when they walk through the door.  The entire third floor is devoted to a social club area with a computer bar, lounge areas with tea and coffee, comfortable seating areas, and an interactive white board. Students can connect and learn in a safe, nurturing environment.

“Wall Street English is excited about the opportunity to offer our English language training to the people of Vietnam,” said David Kedwards, CEO of Wall Street English. “Our mission is to help people realize their dreams – to help them change their future – by learning English. With our new center in Ho Chi Minh City, the people of Vietnam are now part of the Wall Street English global community who are all working together towards the common goal of learning English.”

The center hosted a Grand Opening Ceremony on May 21st for invited guests and dignitaries. The event included an official ribbon cutting ceremony and entertainment from Uyen Linh, the 2010 winner of Vietnam Idol.

“The people of Vietnam value education and are eager and committed to learn,” said Michel LeQuellec, President of Wall Street English Vietnam. “The Wall Street English blended learning method supports different learning needs and offers flexibility for today’s busy lifestyles.  Our method offers the people of Ho Chi Minh City the opportunity to succeed in learning English and achieving their goals.”

With the opening of the new center in Vietnam, Wall Street English now operates in 28 countries across the globe. There are currently 190,000 students enrolled in 450 learning centers. The company’s educational learning levels are aligned to the Common European Framework Reference for Language, the globally accepted standard in language education.
